Qigong with Kirk

  • open-ended 201 Daly Avenue Hamilton, MT, 59840 United States (map)

Series Dates: March 21, 28, April 4, 11

April 18 and 25 optional practice sessions

Qigong (chee gung)—cultivating vital energy with a dedicated practice, often includes varying proportions of body movement, regulated breathing, visualization/intention. Part of this series will also incorporate sound. Overall, we'll be focusing on the Liver and Liver system with exercises, meditations and dietary suggestions. The gentle exercises include a series that originated about 800 years ago that has broad benefit for the body. Two meditations include a very soothing meditation that had been kept secret for more than four hundred years and a wonderfully expansive meditation that connects the practitioner with their environment. The dietary suggestions are practical and easy to adopt. Learn and practice in class, then use the detailed handout to continue your practice at home where you can adjust your practice to fit your schedule. The exercises can be adjusted for a variety of abilities.

In the first four classes, participants will learn and become familiar with the exercises and meditations. The two additional/optional classes will be polishing.

Dress comfortably for movement and stillness. Bring a writing instrument and water. Eat lightly before class.

$49 for all 4 classes

Additional Sessions on April 18 and 25- $10/each

Since the 1980's, Kirk Norby has learned and practiced many different qigong exercises, meditations and self-massage sequences. He's become increasingly aware of the multi-layered benefits of these practices and enjoys sharing them so other people can realize the benefits, too.
