Mindful Meditation Introduction - Nov 4, 11, 18, and 25

This four-week Mindful Meditation Course is for beginners or those who wish to hone their practice. The course design is very flexible and can be delivered in various formats.

This course will teach you how to be mindful in your everyday activities as well as how to establish a mindful meditation practice. The various meditations introduced and practiced within the class include Pause Relax Open, Grounding Meditation, Introduction Mindfulness, RAIN (managing challenges), The Three Domains of Forgiveness, Equanimity, and the Traditional four postures in which meditation can be practiced.

Jon Persavich

I am a retired teacher, having taught various subjects at the college level for over a half century. I enjoy studying comparative religion and mythology. I have been married for 42 years, our two children are grown, one has a horse ranch and the other works in an allied medical field.

My meditation practice spans four plus decades. During this time, I have practiced meditation in many of its various and splendid forms. I started teaching mindfulness meditation after I retired seven years ago.

I have been fortunate to have one career with many job opportunities within in, having served as full professor, research mentor, department director, dean, corporate and private chief academic officer/provost (online and ground pedagogies), board member,  accreditation liaison officer, national and regional accreditation site visitor, and as president & CEO.

My academic experience spans post-secondary education, healthcare, information technology, professional services, consulting, hardware and software development, comparative religion, and meditation practice.
