Canva Skills: Create Your Own Social Media Templates

Learn Canva basics and leave class with fresh marketing materials.

Customized templates help streamline your workflow, save you time (lots of it!) and helps maintain visual consistency for brand recognition. In this Create As We Go workshop you get the instruction and assistance to build your own social media template in Canva. Use your own logo, color palette, and other visual elements unique to your business, product and/or idea for your template. It’s an “open-ended” workshop ; ) where you will be encouraged to ask all the “techie questions” that may seem complicated or frivolous. We’ll share ideas and encouragement about our templates and how we will use them. Your will need to bring a computer to participate.

Canva is a free graphic design tool for non-designers. It’s great for creating online and print media: SM post images, gif animations, .mov files, email signatures, ads, cards, newsletters, etc. Files can be saved within your Canva account as well as shared for editing among a group.

No prior Canva knowledge required.

KJ Kahnle

“We don’t have to feel overwhelmed by technology. One of my passions is making that learning curve easy and helping micro businesses learn tools and techniques to streamline their workflow and manage website.” ~ KJ

With 25+ years of graphic and web design experience, KJ has recognized that building and using templates is one of the three most important strategies for saving time (lots of it!), money, energy and frustration. The other two are developing and using a structure for file organization (computer/ network) and developing a workflow system for tasks.
